In order to create a mixed-use, traditional neighborhood development at the southeast corner of Davis Boulevard and County Barn Road, Coastal Engineering Consultants prepared and obtained approval of an amendment to the Collier County Growth Management Plan, Future Land Use Element. The amendment created what is now the Davis Boulevard/County Barn Road Mixed Use Subdistrict and allows a mix of commercial and residential uses at a well-placed location within the County.
Coastal Engineering Consultants successfully attained a Lee County Zoning Variance to increase the side yard setbacks for the addition of floor to ceiling bay windows for five property owners in the Turtleback subdivision.

Coastal Engineering Consultants prepared conceptual plans for the creation of a regional boat ramp facility adjacent to the Sunshine Skyway Bridge (I-275) in Manatee County. Considerations in the design included: maximizing boat ramps and trailer parking, creating usable public spaces and a dockmaster/ship store focal point, storm water management, access and circulation, facility scale and visual impact and gulf topography.
